The Art of Working With Foreclosure (REO) Properties

Susan Gillespie, Broker/Associate, is the front line for marketing & selling our foreclosure listings. Our REO (foreclosure) business started with just one bank giving us a listing. Now we service many, many financial institutions, asset companies and servicers. Our company continues to grow as we work together for the one goal of getting properties SOLD and out of the portfolio of our clients.

We are continually looking for new ways and ideas to bring to the REO table that will enhance, improve and streamline the many tasks involved in the REO process. The REO services we are involved in are many and varied. They include, but are not limited to:

• Pre-listing which includes occupancy checks, cash for keys, rekey, property preservation, interior CMA/BPO, HOA information, eviction attendance and any tasks needed to expedite the process.
• List of dependable vendors if the client does not have their own field service company.
• Listing which includes marketing, showings, flyers, promoting at meetings, property check, working with prospective buyers/investors, continual follow up, monthly marketing reports, and any other client requirements
• Closings include communication with title companies, mortgage company, inspections, updates to seller, buyer's agent and continual follow up until closed and the passing of the keys.
